Protect your Home from the Freezing Weather!
Some tips to help protect your home from the freezing weather and to keep warm!

1. Clean your Gutters - Clogged gutters and drains can form ice dams, causing water to back up, freeze and possibly seep into the house.

2. Protect the Water Pipes - Pipes cause the most problems during freezing temperatures!  Wrap pipes and faucets with weather-resistant material such as insulating foam tubing. You can also open your cabinet doors to allow heated indoor air to circulate around the pipes. ...

Did you know the new appraisal rules are affecting our local market?
We need your help with appraisals!  With the new appraisal rules, our lenders are having to go to a "pool" to order the appraisal and we're seeing so many "out of area" appraisers trying to work in our area.  Take Silverlake, for example......we all know that not all Silverlake homes are comparable...just because the square footage and age are similar!  And you would think that appraisers would know that too!  Well, they do..........if they are familiar with our area.  Please help and sign the petition!

CALL TO ACTION!

HVCC is causing issues???  There are many horror stories from buyers, sellers, agents, builders and customers.  I ran across an “over the top” video explanation of how HVCC is harming our industry.  If you would like to do something about it, you can sign an electronic petition at www.hvccpetition.com and forward this email on to others you know who may be affected by this policy.  As of this morning over 41,000 people nationwide have signed the petition.
